The ocelot is gray to cinnamon in color, with black markings forming streaks on its neck or elongated spots on its body. Its underside is white with occasional black spots, and its tail is short and sometimes has dark bands across the top.
Ocelots have short hair and rounded ears.
They grow to 36 to 40 inches in length and 18 inches in height, and weigh 20 to 35 pounds; females are smaller than males.
